Hey Bruce,

Just read your octane reply on Bert's site, good info and I agree with your opinion. I've been using 93 octane as per folks I've talked to, and my bike shop mechanic who added that higher octane is generally more efficient all the way around for the fuel money spent, "better bang for the buck" he said. My response as to "burning cleaner" didn't mean literally cleaner, it was a phrase to mean more efficient and less wasteful. I might try a lower rating just for yucks, maybe Amoco's mid-grade. One thing I noticed that's weird, I did have a full tankful of Shell's
premium once when I couldn't find a close Amoco station (ah, reserve, how we'd love thee to be a bit bigger!) and the bike didn't run nearly as "well" as with Amoco's 93. Don't know if I had a bad fillup or what, but definitely not as much pickup and more "farts" from the pipe upon slowing. What brand of gas do you burn ??

Have you been riding your machine a lot this spring ??

Tim
